Beezie's health clearances
We are still tentatively planning to breed Beezie next year. She's gotten good results on her thyroid, cardiac, and CERF exams, and we've just discovered she's a PRA Carrier. Hip evaluation is slated for after her next heat cycle, but we also need to title her before planning a trip to the whelping box. With our schedules right now, finding training and trialing time isn't easy, so stay tuned.

Jimsey's Border Collie pups
We were excited that DNA testing revealed our Jimsey as the sire of all 4 pups from an attempted dual-sired litter. Two of the pups are now living in Alaska, one stayed with the litter's breeder (who is also Jim's breeder and the owner of the other stud dog), and one has gone to the owners of Jimsey's late brother. We'll be very interested in hearing about these BC pups as they grow up-- they're in active performance homes and we think they'll have plenty of outlets for their energy and brains! Check out the pups at Oelamp Border Collies, and see if you think they look like their dad.

Sad puppy news
Our much-anticipated Quincy x Ghillie litter was a heartbreaker. We knew it was going to be a small litter, and it turned out to be tiny-- just one female puppy, who was stillborn. We were unable to revive her. The mom, Ghillie, is doing fine.

Jimsey's Border Collie pups on the way
Our Border Collie male, Jimsey was happy to provide stud service for a dual sired breeding in May, and now his sweetheart has been pronounced pregnant. The litter is due July 18, and we'll find out a few weeks later which of the pups-- if any!-- were sired by Jim. For more info on this Border Collie litter, please contact Laura Kincaid of Oelamp Border Collies.
