Our Past Dogs at Macfield
We adored these dogs, who left us far too soon.

Dobro was always grinning

December 20, 1996 - September 16, 2006
Dobro was our first Toller, and the sire of Beezie. We got him to be mostly a pet who occasionally did agility, but he ended up dragging us into conformation and we began running with a bad crowd (Toller Club members!). Though Dobro was a fine-lookin' fella and a versatile partner for dog sports, his greatest strength was as a family companion. He was an absolutely outstanding pet with a fabulous temperament. Cancer took him at nine years old, just six weeks after his diagnosis.

Magnificent Mac

April 1992 - February 4, 2001
Mac was Erin's first dog. He introduced both of us to agility and obedience competition, tracking, fieldwork, and the world of crazy dogfolk. He was adopted from a shelter when he was about six weeks old, went on to earn a title in every AKC venue that was open to him, and was always willing and forgiving. At seven years old, he developed bone cancer in his left front leg. We tried to beat it with a leg amputation, chemo treatment, and radiation, but finally the cancer overcame him.
